Programme description

The MSc in Data Science and AI for a Competitive Manufacturing from the EIT Manufacturing Master School designed to encompass a rich blend of manufacturing science and cutting-edge information and communication technology (ICT).

This fusion equips students with a holistic understanding of how technology is transforming the field of manufacturing. Here are the key components of the curriculum:

The programme also includes a specialized track in Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

This programme equips students with a multidisciplinary skill set that spans the spectrum of traditional manufacturing science to the latest advancements in ICT. They are not only well-versed in the principles of manufacturing but also proficient in applying technology to make production processes more efficient, sustainable, and adaptable. This broad knowledge base empowers graduates to address real-world challenges in manufacturing and contribute to the development of innovative solutions in an era of rapidly evolving technology.

Internationalization

This double degree program mandates geographical mobility, requiring students to study at two European universities in different countries affiliated with EIT Manufacturing. Upon meeting all degree requirements, students receive two degrees: one from the entry university, another from the exit university, along with the EIT Label certificate.

Programme structure

In the first year, students must complete 40-50 ECTS credits in technical courses and an additional 10-20 ECTS credits in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, totaling 60 ECTS credits. The subsequent year includes 10-20 ECTS credits in technical courses, another 10-20 ECTS credits in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and a substantial 30 ECTS credits dedicated to the Master’s thesis, resulting in a total of 60 ECTS credits.

Students must obtain minimum of 120 ECTS credits combining both the years.

Entry – Exit combination

Students can choose up to a maximum of two programmes, ranking them in the preferred order. Within each programme, the student can choose up to three study tracks, meaning combinations of entry and exit universities, wherever available.

Note: The allocation of combinations are subject to various criteria and we do not guarantee the preferred choice will be provided in the programme acceptance letter.
