This programme is an intricate fusion of various key components that collectively equip students with a well-rounded understanding of the manufacturing field. It encompasses an exploration of manufacturing science, which delves into the underlying physics of equipment and processes. This aspect of the curriculum provides students with a deep knowledge of the fundamental principles that govern the machinery and techniques used in manufacturing.
Furthermore, the programme includes a comprehensive study of data analysis. Here, students learn not only how to gather and analyze data but also the methodology for effectively utilizing this acquired process data to enhance and maintain process quality. This ensures that graduates are not just proficient in gathering data but also skilled in translating it into actionable insights to drive improvements in manufacturing processes.
In addition, the programme emphasizes process management, equipping students with the skills and knowledge required to oversee and optimize manufacturing processes. This includes an exploration of the flexibility needed for handling smaller production batches, a crucial aspect in today’s diverse manufacturing landscape. Graduates are thus well-prepared to manage manufacturing processes effectively, even in scenarios involving smaller lot production, thereby making them adaptable and versatile professionals in the field of manufacturing.
All EIT Manufacturing Master degree programmes are Awarded by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), the EIT Label is a certificate of quality and excellence for educational programmes that are focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, creativity and leadership. EIT-labelled degrees encourage innovative pedagogies and incorporate mandatory mobility schemes for students.
Internationalization
This double degree program mandates geographical mobility, requiring students to study at two European universities in different countries affiliated with EIT Manufacturing. Upon meeting all degree requirements, students receive two degrees: one from the entry university, another from the exit university, along with the EIT Label certificate.
Programme structure
In the first year, students must complete 40-50 ECTS credits in technical courses and an additional 10-20 ECTS credits in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, totaling 60 ECTS credits. The subsequent year includes 10-20 ECTS credits in technical courses, another 10-20 ECTS credits in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and a substantial 30 ECTS credits dedicated to the Master’s thesis, resulting in a total of 60 ECTS credits.
Students must obtain minimum of 120 ECTS credits combining both the years.
