TU Wien is Austria’s largest scientific-technical research and educational institution in the field of science and engineering. About 4,000 research staff members and close to 30,000 students research, teach and learn under the guiding motto “Technology for People”. TU Wien’s eight faculties are split into 51 specialist institutes doing cross-disciplinary research in five core areas: Computational Science & Engineering, Quantum Physics & Technologies, Materials & Matter, Information & Communication Technology, and Energy & Environment.
